- R · What Makes It Special
- Meta's Llama 3 (April 18, 2024), pretrained and instruction-tuned 8B and 70B open-weight language models: decoder-only transformers with a 128K-token vocabulary and grouped query attention, pretrained on over 15T tokens of public data, seven times Llama 2's dataset with four times more code and over 5% non-English text in 30+ languages. Meta called them the best open source models of their class, said 400B+ versions were still training, and released them under the Meta Llama 3 Community License.
