- Swallow, Japanese-enhanced versions of Llama 2 7B, 13B and 70B from the Okazaki and Yokota laboratories at Tokyo Institute of Technology and Japan's AIST: Japanese characters and subwords were added to the vocabulary and the models were continually pretrained on a new Japanese corpus mixed 1:1 with English. The team reported the top Japanese benchmark scores among open models in its evaluation; base and instruct versions use the Llama 2 Community License and have since been superseded.
