- Runway's Gen-2 (2023), a multimodal AI system that generates novel videos from text, images or video clips: it added Text to Video, Text + Image to Video and Image to Video modes to Gen-1's video-to-video modes for stylization, storyboards, masks, renders and customization. Runway began revoking access to Gen-2 in mid-March 2025 and it has been unavailable to all users since May 11, 2025, with Gen-4.5 named as the replacement.
