- Falcon-40B, the Technology Innovation Institute's 40B-parameter causal decoder-only language model, trained on 1,000B tokens of TII's RefinedWeb web data enhanced with curated corpora, mostly in English, German, Spanish and French, on 384 A100 GPUs over two months. It adapts GPT-3's architecture with rotary embeddings, multiquery attention and FlashAttention and a 2,048-token context, under Apache 2.0; at launch TII said it beat LLaMA, StableLM, RedPajama and MPT on the Open LLM Leaderboard.
