- DenseNet (Densely Connected Convolutional Networks), which connects each layer to every later layer, so a network with L layers has L(L+1)/2 direct connections; this eases vanishing gradients, strengthens feature propagation and reuse and cuts parameters, and DenseNets improved on the state of the art on most of CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100, SVHN and ImageNet with less computation.
