- DBRX, the open, general-purpose language model built by Databricks' AI research team: a transformer decoder whose fine-grained mixture-of-experts picks 4 of 16 experts for 36B active of 132B total parameters, with grouped-query attention and the GPT-4 tokenizer, pretrained with curriculum learning on 12 trillion curated tokens on 3,072 H100 GPUs. Databricks said it surpassed GPT-3.5, rivaled Gemini 1.0 Pro and ran inference up to twice as fast as LLaMA2-70B; base and instruct weights are open.
