- CLIP ViT-L/14, a Vision Transformer version of OpenAI's CLIP (Contrastive Language-Image Pre-Training) from January 2021: an image encoder and a text Transformer trained contrastively on 400 million image-text pairs from the internet to match images with captions, so it classifies images zero-shot from natural-language labels. OpenAI found CLIP matched the original ResNet-50 on ImageNet zero-shot without using any of its 1.28 million labeled examples; code and weights are MIT-licensed.
