- R · What Makes It Special
- AlexNet, the deep convolutional neural network that Alex Krizhevsky, Ilya Sutskever and Geoffrey Hinton of the University of Toronto presented in their NIPS 2012 paper ImageNet Classification with Deep Convolutional Neural Networks: 60 million parameters in five convolutional layers and fully connected layers ending in a 1000-way softmax, trained on ImageNet with ReLUs, dropout and two GTX 580 GPUs. A variant won ILSVRC-2012 with a 15.3% top-5 test error, against 26.2% for the runner-up.
